The renewal of some of its most recognizable models is Tudor’s bet for this 2022. The Swiss firm presented today at the Geneva Watches and Wonders fair the latest evolutions of the Black Bay Pro, Black Bay GMT, Black Bay Chrono, Black Bay S&G and Royal, called to reformulate the heritage of a brand that combines sportiness, utility and style like no other.
Most of Tudor’s watches novelties focus on one of its most successful models, the Black Bay. The case of the 31, 36, 39 and 41 S&G models now features a new curved and sinuous crown that updates its recognizable look. The polished yellow gold of the bezel, exclusively satin-brushed for a matte finish, is complemented by the option of a diamond setting that enhances its elegance.
As for the Black Bay Pro, its tool-watch look is enhanced in this latest version, with a diameter of 39 millimeters, a fixed steel bezel and a manufacture caliber with built-in GMT function. Throughout their history, Tudor watches have been chosen by some of the most daring adventurers, such as the thirty explorers who embarked on the British North Greenland Expedition to study the Arctic ice for two years exactly seven decades ago. The new Black Bay Pro faithfully reflects this rich heritage.
Also in this line of elegant and useful watches is the Black Bay GMT. Tudor’s famous diver’s watch now has a function that sets the local time while keeping track of the time in two other time zones. Equipped with the MT5652 manufacture caliber, the Black Bay GMT sports a 24-hour graduated rotating bezel with two colors.
The latest evolution presented today by Tudor is the Black Bay Chrono. Closely linked to the world of motor racing, this is a sport-chic chronograph with highly legible sub-counters and a high-performance automatic manufacture caliber with column wheel and vertical clutch.
Finally, the Helvetic firm this morning presented its updated Tudor Royal, with a striking integrated metal bracelet, notched or diamond-set bezel and automatic movement. The range has been in the catalog since 1950 and offers self-winding sports watches, a cross between classic and sporty.
