More than a hundred young athletes from a dozen Galician teams and the rest of Spain will participate on Sunday, November 21, in the VII Viravolta-Jael Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament , organized at the Multiusos Fontes de Sar by the Compostela club and which is recovering after being suspended last year due to the pandemic. The morning will culminate with a Rhythmic Gymnastics Gala , in which some of the best specialists on the international scene will participate, such as the world champions Dina and Arina Averina , Aleksandra Soldatova and Ekaterina Selezneva . The watchmaking firm Longines and its distributor in Santiago, Jael Jewelry, are the main sponsors of the event, which has the support of the Xunta de Galicia, through Galician Sport, the City Council of Santiago and the Deputación da Coruña.
The program opens at 10:30 a.m. with the competitions in basic categories, and continues with the great Exhibition Gala, starting at 12:30 p.m. The great stars of the morning will be the Russians Dina and Arina Averina, Aleksandra Soldatova and Ekaterina Selezneva, who are at the top of the world gymnastics ranking. Added to them is the presence of great specialists from the Spanish National Team such as Natalia García, Polina Berezina, Paula Serrano, Sol Martínez or Cristina Korniychuk, and the Galicians Candela Martínez, Sofía Sousa, Daniela Costas, Martín Casal and Lola Ferro, which makes to the Viravolta Jael Tournament in one of the most attractive in Europe. The Olympian Carolina Rodríguez will be the godmother of the tournament for another year and will be in charge of the presentation of the gala, together with the actor Antonio Garrido .
Twenty companies and entities selflessly collaborate in the organization of the tournament, providing their services so that the event can take place.
