While most GMT watches indicate the second time zone with an additional hand, the Montblanc 1858 GMT features its handless GMT indication which is very intuitive and offers high legibility. The Montblanc 1858 GMT indicates the second time zone with a red square moving around the dial. This red square sits next to a fixed black anodized aluminum bezel with a 24-hour clock. This system also indicates the half hours. Other functions include the date and the central seconds hand. The watch is housed in a 42 mm steel case and comes with a black dial with “soleil” finish and an interchangeable black rubber bracelet with a precise fit. An engraving on the case back shows the continents, oceans and city names for each of the 24 time zones to provide an indication of world time.
