The Montblanc 1858 product line is inspired by the legendary Minerva professional watches of the 1920s and 1930s, designed for military use and exploration. The Montblanc 1858 line reinterprets these legendary timepieces, evokes the spirit of exploratory mountaineering and embodies the current trend of a return to nature. The Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph sports a bluish aesthetic reminiscent of glaciers and a bi-directional steel bezel, enhanced with bright blue ceramic accents and engraved luminescent four cardinal points. The 42 mm steel case features polished and satin-brushed finishes and is adorned with an engraving of the emblematic Mont Blanc, a compass and two crossed ice peaks, a nod to the spirit of mountaineering exploration. To complete the overall design, the Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph is fitted with a blue Sfumato calfskin strap.
